LGBTG Global Leaders of Change
Project& has commissioned and will produce the photographic initiative of the Pulitzer-Prize winning photographer, Lynsey Addario: LGBTG Global Leaders of Change. Known for her breathtaking, raw photography that depicts the aftermath of conflict as much as the conflict itself, MacArthur and Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynsey Addario captures the essence of a community’s tension in the span of a single frame.
Addario has photographed the Taliban, the wars in Libya, Tunisia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and Syrian refugees as they fled their war-torn home. Her work often centers around women within these and other conflicts, as seen in her work on rape in the Democratic Republic of Congo, breast cancer in Uganda and women warriors on the frontlines of America’s wars abroad and at home. For LGBTG, Addario will follow world leaders who identify as members of the LGBTQ community, photographing them within their professional spheres and exploring their placement within one of the greatest human rights struggles of our time.
