Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South

Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South, a Project& Global Dialogue, has been selected to take part in the National Black Theatre Festival. The Festival will run from August 3rd through August 8th in Winston-Salem, NC. Information on showtimes, ticketing, and post showing programming will be posted shortly.

Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South

N’digg interviews E. Patrick Johnson about the latest production of Project& Global Dialogue “Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South”at Northwestern’s Wirtz Center. Speaking of his decision to collect oral histories of black, Souther men, Johnson says “First and foremost, I hope these men’s lives are affirmed. Every one of us has a story to tell, but we often we don’t get to tell it. Why? Because no one has bothered to ask.” The show will run from May 28th through June 7th, and you can read the full interview and find a link to purchase tickets on N’Digo’s site.
